This is hopefully the first of many devlogs regarding the development of Over-Comet. I trust we can all agree that the holidays are always a bit of an hectic time, thus development has suffered a bit but nonetheless Version T10 as some interesting changes.
The change I think I personally prefer is that we actually have a main character who look like he belongs in space or at least some sci-fi universe, which sells the idea more then our little camper buddy (Rip little camper).
But the biggest change is regarding exploration, in version T9, all planets and asteroids were just a plane with 2-3 rocks on them. Version T10 now features some form of world generation, mind you it’s still quite brute but it’s a first step. The idea is that eventually different type of celestial bodies will have different resources they can generate and different way to generate their terrain too.
I think the main goals for the next version is to create at least another planet type, in a way that we have planet A with certain resources and planet B with it’s own set of resources.
As well as the addition of the first mini-game, the idea is that instead of just clicking on “Gather” to mine a rock, you’ll have a , mind you very small, task to do.
If time allows it, i also want to start expanding the crafting system to more then just a list you click trough.
